Turkey to vaccinate citizens against coronavirus for free, said Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, APA reports citing Hurriyet newspaper.

According to him, negotiations with Chinese company Sinovac, which produces the vaccine, have ended and 10 million doses of vaccine have been ordered in the first stage.

The minister said that initially medical workers and then those who have chronic diseases and the persons in other risk groups will be vaccinated.

F. Koca also stressed that local vaccine trials in Turkey were successful. He noted that in the framework to fight against coronavirus Favipiravir medicine is more effective for patients. The minister added that 4 companies have been allowed for the production of Favipiravir in Turkey.
