Ukrainian President’s wife tests positive for COVID-19

Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, has tested positive for COVID-19, APA reports citing UNIAN.

First Lady feels well and has no symptoms of the disease, the president's press service reports. Olena Zelenska remains on outpatient treatment, isolated from other family members, according to the President's Office.

President Zelensky and his children have also been tested. All tests are negative.

It is noted that during working meetings and while at home, Zelenska complied with quarantine rules and recommendations of the Health Ministry. In accordance with the requirements of the security protocol, she also regularly underwent testing for COVID-19.

The previous test run in early June returned negative.

It remains unclear where and when she contracted the virus.

An epidemiological investigation is underway.

All contact persons have been immediately informed of the potential risk of infection.
