Shedko served as an assistant to Mikhail Myasnikovich - he is the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (a body of the Eurasian Economic Union, which includes Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan). According to colleagues, Dmitry was a very punctual and reliable employee: he always warned about his movements or days off.

Shedko was last seen on March 9, and the very next day he disappeared. An EEC employee did not come to an important meeting, and his phone was turned off. Shedko's acquaintances remembered that lately the man often complained about his back: they say it hurts so much that he can't even get up, so they suggested that Dmitry could just lie at home. The apartment where he lived was opened, but there was no one there. The police examined the premises, but found nothing criminal. Shedko continue to search.
