Representatives of the Czech government led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala arrived in Kyiv, APA reports citingTekdeeps.

In addition to Fiala, three deputy prime ministers and four ministers will attend the meeting with the Ukrainian government, Czech Television reported. According to the photographs of the Radiožurnál reporter published on twitter the Czech delegation includes, for example, Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura and Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan. Tomáš Pojar, adviser to the prime minister for European affairs, is also present.

Ministers of the Czech government are to discuss the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees on Czech territory with their Ukrainian counterparts in Kyiv. Due to the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the joint meeting of the two cabinets is accompanied by strict security measures. Therefore, the Government Office has not yet published the exact composition of the delegation, which, in addition to negotiations with Ukrainian counterparts, should also meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Czech delegation arrived in Kyiv about an hour behind schedule, due to today’s explosions in the area. According to the Kyiv authorities, Russian missiles were again aimed at the civil infrastructure of the metropolis this morning.

Prime Minister Petr Fiala already visited the Ukrainian capital shortly after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In mid-March, together with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša, he went to Kyiv, which Russian troops were trying to surround. At the time, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy described the visit as a strong show of support for the attacked country.
