Czechia published its priorities for the Presidency of the Council of the EU

The Czech Republic has published its priorities for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, said the Czech Ministry of European Affairs, APA reports.

The Czech presidency will focus on refugee crisis management and post-war Ukraine reconstruction, energy security, strengthening Europe's defense capabilities and cybersecurity, the strategic sustainability of the European economy, and the resilience of democratic institutions.

The Czech presidency of the EU begins on July 1 with the slogan "Europe as a task: rethink, rebuild, repower.”

Note that the presidency of the EU Council is held on a rotating basis, and member states hold the presidency of the Council for 6 months. The presidency of the EU Council is currently in France and expires at the end of this month.
