Azerbaijan starts to collect compulsory health insurance premiums

According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Medical Insurance" starting from January 1, 2021, compulsory health insurance premiums have started to be collected from employees of the state and oil sector, non-state and non-oil sector, individuals performing works (services) on the basis of civil-law contracts and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities, Ministry of economy told APA-Economics

Chief of the State Tax Service Nigar Vahabzade noted that compulsory health insurance aims to improve health financing by guaranteeing the provision of reliable, quality medical services, primary health care, emergency and urgent medical care to the population.
