Azerbaijan’s GDP decreases by 2.5% in January

In January of 2021, Gross Domestic Product worth AZN 6 256,8 mln or 2.5% less in comparison to the same period of the previous year was produced in Azerbaijan, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

Added value in the non-oil sector of the economy increased by 0.1%, while in the oil and gas sector decreased by 6.2%.

"40.6% of GDP production fell on share of industry, 10.6% trade; repair of transport means, 8.1% on transport and warehouse, 3% agriculture, forestry and fishery, 4.9% construction, 1.9% information and communication, 0.6% accommodation of tourists and public catering fields, 20,6% fell on share of other fields. Net taxes on products and imports made up 9,7% of GDP," noted in the information.
