Central Bank of Azerbaijan issues statement on the "black market"

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has issued statement on the "black market”, APA-Economics reports.

CBA has noted in response to public misconceptions about the operation of a "black market" for the sale of currency that the Bank implements monitoring over the banks and currency exchange offices licensed to conduct currency exchange activities in accordance with the legislation.

“It is contradictory to conduct currency activities to the requirements of the legislation without having appropriate license, and prevention of this activity is provided by authoritative bodies” noted in the statement.
