Positive balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan increases sharply

In January-February 2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan decreased by 5.3% in comparison with the same period of the last year and made up US$ 5,036.4 mln., "APA-Economics" reports citing the State Customs Committee.

In January-February of this year, the export of Azerbaijan to foreign countries increased by 3.1% and equaled to US$ 3,249.4 mln., and the volume of import decreased by 17.5% and equaled to US$ 1,787.1 mln. Consequently, the positive trade balance amounting to US$ 1,462.3 mln. has developed.

As compared with the same period of the last year, in January-February, 2020, the positive balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan increased by 48.3%.
