In January-August of the current year, the volume of the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan increased by 16 % amounted to USD 22 901 835,45 thousand compared to the first half of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing State Custom Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan has exported products in the amount of USD 13 519 906,70, while the volume of imports has been USD 9 381 928,75 thousand.
As a result, a positive balance in the amount of USD4 137 977,95 thousand formed.
In comparison with January-August of the previous year, exports increased by 5%, imports - by 36.7%, and the positive balance decreased by 31.2%.
