 CBA: Positive balance of trade turnover increased by 2.2-fold in H1

In seven months of 2018 Brent crude price made up $71.7, up 37% from previous year, Chairman of Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov said at the press conference.

According to him, global economic activity is forecasted to be at 3.9%.

‘In the group of Azerbaijan’s trade partners, global economic activity is forecasted to make up 3.3%. Food prices have increased by 2.7%. Positive balance in the trade turnover in the first half increased by 2.2-fold, export – by 64%, non-oil export – by 14%. In the six months of 2018, import rose by 37.6%, non-oil sector – by 38.5%. Positive balance on the trade balance amounted to $4 billion, negative balance on non-oil sector stood at $8.1 billion’, he said.
