Retail trade turnover increases 2.5% in Azerbaijan last year

In 2017, the retail trade turnover stood at AZN 5.3 billion, up 2.5% from previous year.

According to State Statistical Committee, the consumers spent AZN 17.9 billion of their incomes to food products, drinks and tobacco products in retail trade networks, AZN 17.4 billion to non-food products, relevantly up 1.9% and 3.1% by contrast to 2016.

In the retail trade network, the population spent 45.9% to food products, 4.8% to drinks and tobacco products, 17.8% to textile products, clothes and shoes, 6% to electrical products and furniture, 5.5% to fuel, 1.3% to pharmacological and medical products, 0.7% to computers, telecommunication equipments and printing products, 18% to other non-food products.

Per head retail trade turnover stood at AZN 301.9, up AZN 40.9 from 2016.
