"It is difficult to reduce the impact of inflation coming from abroad in any way", said Azerbaijan's Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov during the discussion of the draft law on "On the execution of the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2021" at the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship of Milli Majlis, APA reports.
"It is considered to take steps in order to prevent this in the current year. On the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, salaries have been increased in all sectors this year. We cannot do this indefinitely, because one of the factors accelerating inflation is the increase in the money supply. No matter how much money we give, it will not lead to reduce the inflation, but rather increase it," said the Minister.
