Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has given a press briefing in a video format to representatives of the world's leading foreign media accredited in Turkey and Russia (BBC, Nikkei, DPA, Deutsche Welle, Al Arabia, RAI, EFE, Reuters, Financial Times, ANSA, Al Jazeera, NBC, New York Times, NRK, etc.), APA reports.
H. Hajiyev has given detailed information on the latest provocations of Armenia, which does not follow humanitarian ceasefire, and brought to attention on October 17, 2020, the city of Ganja was targeted with SCUD / Elbrus operational-tactical ballistic missiles.
Assistant to President noted that civilians and civilian infrastructures are regularly deliberately targeted by Armenia, and said with regret that as a result of the latest provocations in Ganja 13 people killed, including 2 children, more than 50 people wounded and 2 children went missing.
Talking about Armenia’s attack to Ordubad region of Nakhchivan, H. Hajiyev especially stressed there are regular attempts in the direction of expanding the geography of the war by the official Yerevan.
As well as, H. Hajiyev said that Azerbaijani Armed forces strictly observes international humanitarian law and reserves the right to take adequate measures against legitimate military targets to protect civilians.
