Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Dainis Garančs, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
Firstly, Ambassador Dainis Garančs conveyed greetings from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs to Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in his turn congratulated Dainis Garančs on his appointment as Ambassador and conveyed his greetings to his Latvian counterpart.
At the meeting, the sides expressed their satisfaction over the existing relations between the two countries in political, economic, trade, cultural and other spheres. The sides also had an exchange over issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Dainis Garančs presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished the Ambassador every success in his future activities.
