Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco who is on a visit to Baku, on May 16, Cabintes of Ministers told APA.
At the meeting, Duarte Pacheco's participation in the special meeting of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament ) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was highly appreciated.
Appreciating the role of IPU in the development of inter-parliamentary relations and global parliamentary diplomacy, Azerbaijan attaching great importance to the expansion of cooperation with this organization was highlighted.
Effective activity of Azerbaijan as a member of the IPU was discussed, as well as prospects for the development of relations in the coming period.
