Mr. Javier Colomina is paying his second visit to the South Caucasus, in his capacity as NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, APA reports citing a NATO official.

This visit is part of regular consultations held by NATO officials with their counterparts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. It represents an important platform to take stock of NATO’s relations with these important partners and share views on future political dialogue and cooperation, especially in the context of the ongoing preparations for the 2022 NATO Summit in Madrid.

Mr. Colomina has already visited Armenia, where he met with high-level Armenian officials. He is currently in Georgia, where he is scheduled to meet with a wide range of Georgian officials, members of Parliament, representatives of the International Community, and civil society.

He will be in Azerbaijan on 28 April, where he is scheduled to meet with high-level officials from the Azerbaijani government.
