"Trilateral statements among Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders form the basis of regulation in the region," said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, at today's briefing, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

"The position of the Russian side regarding the tensions that occurred on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border was reflected in the statement of the Russian MFA. A more detailed position was reflected in the interview of Denis Gonchar, the Russian Foreign Ministry's fourth CIS department director. Unfortunately, there have been shootings after the first agreement about the ceasefire. Yesterday, a new agreement was achieved. We hope that this agreement will be obeyed. Once again, we call on the parties to be calm and solve all problems through a political-diplomatic way," said Zakharova.
