"The issues on the peace treaty and regarding the settlement of Azerbaijan-Armenia are extremely complex and sensitive," said the special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at today's briefing, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The Russian MFA official said they do not consider it appropriate to comment on the positions of the parties until a concrete agreement is reached.
"We have talked about it several times," Zakharova added.
Zakharova reminded that Igor Khovayev, Russian MFA’s special representative on normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, was on a visit to Yerevan on November 14.
“Currently, Khovayev is on a visit to Baku. During Khovayev's contacts in Baku, the issue of the peace agreement is also discussed,” noted Zakharova.
Remind that on November 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Igor Khovayev, a special representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
