In January-March of this year, Azerbaijan’s revenue obtained from cargo and passenger transportation by air exceeded AZN 1,46 bln, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the report of the State Statistics Committee.
This exceeds the relevant indicator of the previous year by 45,3%.
In the first quarter of the current year, revenues from cargo transportation by air transport made up AZN 877,19 mln. which is up 36,6% in comparison to January-March of the previous year.
Revenues from passenger transportation by air made up AZN 168,96 mln, which means up to 2,2 times increase in annual comparison.
