An owner of internet-based information resource and its domain name shouldn’t allow for placement on that information resource of the false information which threatens with damaging people’s life and health, causing significant proprietary damage, massive violation of public security, malfunction of vital infrastructure, and finance, transport, communication, industry, energy and social infrastructure facilities and occurrence of other socially dangerous results, APA reports.
This has been reflected in the proposed change to the law “About information, provision of information and protection of information” brought up for discussion at the meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament held today.
The draft change has been put to a vote and has been adopted.
