The ninth day of the 2nd European Games ended in Minsk.
According to the APA correspondent, 28 sets of medals were played on June 29.
Azerbaijani athletes completed the day with 4 medals - 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Boxer Alfonso Dominguez and karateka Asiman Gurbanly won gold medals, karatekas Irina Zaretskaya - the silver, Roman Heydarov – the bronze.
The Azerbaijani team, who won 24 medals (5 gold, 7 silver and 12 bronze medals), advanced to the 9th position in the team competition.
In general, representatives of 41 of 50 countries participating in the second European Games were awarded with 164 sets of medals. The joy of the championship experienced athletes of 31 countries.
In the medal standings, Russian athletes are leading, the Belarusian team is in second place, the Italians are third.
