Azerbaijan's SCC issues information about testing positive for coronavirus of person traveling from Iran to Georgia in transit through Azerbaijan

The State Customs Committee has issued an information about testing positive for coronavirus of the Georgian citizen traveling from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia in transit through Azerbaijan, the SCC told APA.

That person entered the country’s territory at 06:50 on February 25 through Astara customs crossing station of the South Territorial Main Customs Department, and in accordance with the instruction, before entering the administrative building and when being inside the building, he was checked with portative thermometers and later on – with a stationary thermal camera.

“During examination citizen's temperature has been determined normal, no suspicious cases has been found in health condition. That person left country by passing through Red Bridge customs checkpoint of General Customs Department for Western Territories on February 25 at 17:09 p.m. Note that it clearly seems from news, disseminated in Georgian mass media, that the person tested positive for coronavirus after examination and analysis, conducted in special laboratory. Currently, the people, who were in contact with that person, have been determined and taken under control”, noted in the information.
