"Commissioner for Human Rights Sabina Aliyeva has repeatedly made statements and calls to the international community regarding the fact that anti-tank and anti-personnel mines buried by Armenia during the occupation in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan pose a serious threat to the life and health of people and put an end to this situation," APA reports citing the press service of Ombudsman's office.

The remaining landmine problem in our liberated areas has not only delayed the return of IDPs to their homes but has also claimed the lives of many people or given them lifelong disabilities.
