It has been announced how the Russia-Ukraine war will affect the flow of tourists to Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Agency told APA.
Against the background of recent geopolitical events in the post-Soviet space, there may be a change in the visit directions of tourists: "It will be possible to give more accurate forecasts of Russian tourists' visits to Azerbaijan, depending on the course of events. In total, it is expected to have an increase in the number of tourists coming to the country this year. In accordance with the initial assessments, although this growth is expected to be 50%, a reassessment may be needed in the context of geopolitical events in the region. In any case, the increase in the number of foreign country citizens coming to the country will lead to an increase in income, respectively," noted.
