Criminal case instituted over murder threat against BMPD spokesperson - OFFICIAL

According to media reports, a Facebook user named "Evez Vahidovich" threatened the head of the press service of the Baku city Main Police Department (BMPD), police major Elshad Hajiyev with death, the press service of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor General's Office told APA.

According to the information, the facebook user “Evez VAhidovich” has promised AZN 10 thousand award for killing police major Elshad Hajiyev on his page.

A criminal case has been launched under article 134 ( threat on killing) of the Criminal Code regarding the fact that there is an indication of the acts of murder in these acts.

Due to the fact that in the indicated actions there was a part of the act “threat of murder”, a criminal case was launched under article 134 (threat of murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The investigation will be conducted in the prosecutor's office of Baku. Investigations are ongoing.
