During this year Azerbaijan will increase cotton production, Director of the Azerbaijani Agricultural Research Center Firdovsi Fikretzade told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, despite the decrease of sowing areas, thanks to the productivity indicator, it is expected that Azerbaijan will produce more cotton this year in comparison to the previous year: “The strategy in the field of cotton-growing in Azerbaijan has changed. The necessary conditions have been created in the area of about 102 thousand hectares in order to develop cotton-growing.”
