In January-September 2017 the production and services in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam made up AZN 1,261.5 million, up 0.2% by contrast to a year earlier.
Production in the water supply, waste treatment and processing sector dropped 1% to AZN 222.4 million.
In nine months of 2017 Azerbaijan produced 16,966,500,000 kWh of electric energy, up 1% in comparison to 2016.
Of this, 1,428.4 kWh makes up water power, which is 8.2% less than previous year, 14,780 kWh is heating power production, 2.5% over against 2016.
Wind power stations produced 9.6 kWh of energy, down 8.6% from previous year. Solar power production decreased 35.4% to 32.6 kWh.
