The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on a visit to Latvia, has met with his Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs, APA reports citing “Twitter” account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Latvia.
A comprehensive exchange of opinions has been conducted on the current condition of Latvian-Azerbaijani relations and future development of the ties in the meeting.
Besides, the Head of Azerbaijani MFA attended the the Museum of the Occupation and the Latvian National Library situated in Riga City.
E. Mammadyarov also visited the “Freedom” monument in Riga City.
Note that the meetings of E. Mammadyarov with the Latvian President Egils Levits, Speaker of Latvian Seim İnara Murnietse and Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks are also expected.
