A meeting has been held with the delegation of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey (TIHEK), which is on a visit to Azerbaijan in order to conduct a fact-finding mission in the territories liberated from occupation, with an invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman) in the Ombudsman Apparatus, Apparatus told APA.
Several mutually interested issues have been discussed at the meeting.
Later, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between two institutions.
The main purpose of the Memorandum is to strengthen relations within the framework of cooperation in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, conduct joint training and researches in the relevant field, implement information and awareness activities of the mutual interest, as well as to cooperate in the other fields.
After the signing ceremony of the memorandum, a press conference has been held for the mass media.
