United States base in Syria was hit on Wednesday near the Iraqi–Syrian border, said an Iraqi security source, APA reports citing Sputnik.
Earlier today, Washington announced it had attacked Iranian-backed militants in Syria, referring to it as an answer to a previous attack against US forces that took place on August 15.
The United States also added it is ready to carry out another attack so as to ''advance our self-defense.'' Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl later commented on the latest attack during a press conference, once again reiterating that Pentagon is aware of the report and will not hesitate to react and defend itself.
