"We don't want any state to interfere in our (southerners) affairs, except for the state of Azerbaijan." said a national activist from South Azerbaijan, Head of "Gunaz TV" television channel Ahmad Obali at the meeting in the Press Council, APA reports.
Ahmad Obali also spoke about the speeches of President Ilham Aliyev: "Mr. President Ilham Aliyev's speeches at times and his views about southerners please us. We were particularly pleased with the last speech of President Ilham Aliyev. After each of his speeches, we definitely believe that we will be a whole Azerbaijan. Since these words are said by the President of all Azerbaijanis, Ilham Aliyev, who solves all the issues that he said. Ilham Aliyev proved that he is the president of all Azerbaijanis of the world. He is the only head of state in the history of Azerbaijan in the last 200 years who did not give land but bought it."
The national activist also touched on the issue of the Zangezur corridor: "Even if the Zangezur corridor is opened, we are concerned about its security. Real security, the independence of the South, and the unification of the South around the whole of Azerbaijan will take some time. I think that we should believe in the freedom of South Azerbaijan in our minds both in the south and in the north and make a revolution of ideas," Ahmad Obali said.
