Armenian MP supports Pashinyan’s position on Karabakh: We are facing a historic dilemma

“The main duty of ruling power is to protect Armenia’s state interests, all other issues can be a part of the life and political agenda of the country,” said MP from the ruling faction, businessman Gurgen Arsenyan while commenting on Nikol Pashinyan’s statement on the recognition of Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

The MP was asked whether Armenians live in Karabakh or not. In response, Arseyan noted that Armenian compatriots live in Karabakh, however, stressing that Armenians also live in Georgia's Javakheti, Lebanon's capital Beirut and USA's Glendale, “The functions of Armenian citizens and politicians is to protect the state and its interests,” he responded.

According to him, Armenian society faces a historic dilemma, and the society should make a choice between their “heart” and “mind”.
