Azerbaijani FM and Adviser to US State Department discusses unimpeded passage to Nakhchivan

On March 10, 2023, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations of the US State Department, Louis Bono, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

During the meeting, the current situation of the negotiation process over the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace treaty, issues aroused by the meeting held in Munich security conference between the leaders, providing communication ensuring unhindered passage to Nakhchivan, the current situation on the delimitation process and prospects were discussed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that Armenia doesn’t fulfill its obligations under the tripartite statement, doesn’t completely withdraw its forces from Azerbaijan’s territories, and continues regular military provocations. At the same time, Minister briefed the opposite side about Azerbaijan's view on the matter of the Armenian citizens' reintegration.

The sides have also exchanged ideas on other matters of interest.
