Azerbaijan to allocate additional funds to Georgia within Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project

Baku. Nijat Mustafayefv â€“ APA-Economics. The issue on Azerbaijani governmentâ€™s allocation of additional funds to Georgia within the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project will be solved, recently, said the Georgia’s deputy minister for economic development, Archil Kekelia.

According to him, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project was discussed within the visit of Georgia’s economic development minister Vera Kobalia to Azerbaijan, on April 25. Speaking about Chinaâ€™s and Kazakhstanâ€™s interests in implementation of project Kekeliya noted that, issue on Azerbaijani governmentâ€™s allocation of additional funds to Georgia within the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project would be solved, recently.

Note that, Azerbaijan has granted $200 mln (for 25 years with annual 1%) to Marabda-Karsi Railways LLC for construction of Georgian part of railway.

According to experts, Azerbaijan will get $50 mln-income during first years, after launch of railway.
