Nationwide monitoring of television and radio programs have been conducted in the city of Baku, Absheron peninsula and Mingachevir city and the levels of interference created by foreign television and radio broadcasts have been measured, APA reports citing the report of National Television and Radio Council, APA reports.

The report reads that the results of the conducted monitoring have been compared with the results of previous monitoring, differences have been identified and practical suggestions have been made to eliminate shortcomings.

The results of the monitoring show that the broadcast of television programs of the country is normal where measure has been conducted, the measured field voltages are not below the minimum limit. Along with this wide broadcasting of foreign television and radio programs in the territory of the country has also been mentioned. Thus, field voltages created by television and radio waves broadcasted from the territorty of the Islamic Republic of Iran is high and many. This causes to interference. It has been observed that the same foreign radio program is broadcasted from several foreign station.

Amplitude modulation radio transmitters were also found operating from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It has been noted that due to COVID-19 pandemic in connection with the applied quarantine and tightened quarantine regime in our country, it was not possible to carry out wide-scale monitoring.
