A magnitude-7 earthquake struck Indonesia's Sulawesi island, the United States Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, ONAreports citing SBS.

An earthquake of magnitude 7 struck Indonesia's island of Sulawesi on Friday, the United States Geological Survey said.

Indonesia's geophysics agency issued a tsunami warning and advised some residents of central Sulawesi to evacuate.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which hit 280 km south of the province of Gorontalo at a depth of 43 km, the agency said.
