Turkmen mufti: Meeting in Azerbaijan is an opportunity to know each other more closely

“I thank and praise God Almighty for the opportunity to meet you on the land of Azerbaijan. I am absolutely sure that this event will have a great success and will make a huge contribution to solving issues that serve the interests of our peoples,” Turkmen mufti Yalkan Khojaguliyev said at the meeting of the religious leaders of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States held in Azerbaijan on October 19-22, APA reports.

Mufti expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for organizing the event.

He also spoke about Azerbaijan’s role in the Turkic world: “This event held on the land of Azerbaijan is an opportunity to get to know each other more closely, to achieve wider mutual understanding, to establish equal relations, and to be an example to the whole world.”
