Deputy Minister: "Forest area of 54,328 hectares, which was under occupation, destroyed"

"Liberated territories from the occupation are precious from underground and surface resources point of view," said Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev at the press conference on the ecological condition and works to be done in the liberated territories from occupation, APA reports.

According to him, a forest area of 54,328 hectares, which was under occupation, has been destroyed:

"Our ecology has been damaged over 30 years. We have determined initial footage from Azercosmos. We have mostly preferred planting Oriental plane in Fuzuli, Aghdam, Gubadli, Zangilan.

Mulberry seedlings have been planted in Gubadli and Zangilan. It will contribute to development of sericulture."
