“In 2019, the average monthly pension increased by 15%, old-age pension by 15%, disability pension by 22%. As a result of indexation, there will be the next increase in pensions in Azerbaijan over this month,” Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev said at a board meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, APA reports.
Noting the results of 2019 Sahil Babayev said that taken revolutionary steps in social field, 2 packages of reform providing direct support to well-being of 4 mln. 200 thousand citizens are the most important achievements of the last year. He stated that serious growth made in social payments is highly appreciated at international level as well.
