ICRC representatives visit Armenian serviceman surrendered to Azerbaijan

On 19 August, the representatives of the ICRC in Baku visited the Armenian national who recently crossed the Line of Contact. The visit was conducted in accordance with the ICRC's standard procedures, Ilaha Huseynova, head of Communication Department of the ICRC Baku Office Ilaha Huseynova told APA.

Ilaha Huseynova stated that according to its mandate, the ICRC visits detained individuals to monitor treatment and conditions of detention and ensure that the detainees are able to maintain contact with their families.

Note that on August 12, in the morning, as a result of the vigilance of the Azerbaijani units, a serviceman Kazaryan Aro Khaikovich deserting from the military unit of the enemy was detained in the direction of the Fuzuli region of the front.
