SBS: Smuggling of about 9 kg narcotic drugs, numerous psychotropic substances to Azerbaijan prevented

As a result of the vigilance of the employees of State Border Service on August 25, smuggling of 8 kilograms 500 grams of narcotic-like drugs, 8,370 psychotropic substances, and strongly effective substances to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented.

As a result of operational activities carried out in the service area of the "Horadiz" border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, one suspect was detained who tried to leave the territory of Arayitli village of Fizuli region with a package.

The detainee was identified as Karimov Ziyad Ahad, a resident of Baku, born in 1994. During the inspection of the package 8 kilograms 500 grams of drugs (7300 grams of marijuana, 1000 grams of heroin, 200 grams of methamphetamine), and 8370 psychotropic Pregobalin pills were found and confiscated.

The investigation is underway.
