Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A man attempted to commit suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at the Icherisheher station of Baku Metro on Wednesday morning, Nasimi Pashayev, spokesman for Baku Metro CJSC, told APA.
As the man, identified as 65-year-old Nasir Ahmadov, a resident of Baku’s Nardaran resident, fell into a gap between tracks, fortunately, he injured his right heel, said the spokesman.
He noted that thanks to the vigilance of the driver, the train was immediately stopped and the man was removed from tracks.
The incident caused a delay in movement of trains, added Pashayev.
An investigation is underway into the incident.
