Azerbaijan increased fruit and vegetable export

In January-March of the current year, Azerbaijan exported 89 906,74 tones of fruit and vegetables abroad worth USD 97 231,23 thousand, APA-Economics reports citing State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period value of exported fruit and vegetable decreased by 14,1% in comparison to January-March of the previous year, while volume increased by 6,3%.

Note that in the first quarter of this year, fruit and vegetables that Azerbaijan exported were mainly tomato, hazelnut, apple, date and pomegranate.

During the reporting period 19 516,09 tones of tomato worth USD 21 259,52 thousand was exported which is 2,1 times or 40,4% less in comparison to the indicator of the same period of the previous year.
