Azerbaijan increased oil and gas production in 3rd quarter

In the third quarter of this year nearly 2 mln. tones of oil, and nearly 2 bln. cubic meters of gas was extracted from the fields operated by SOCAR, so, oil production increased by 10%, while gas production increased by 9% in comparison to the relevant period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing SOCAR’s quarterly report.

Complex measures plan in order to remain stable production level in oil and gas fields exploited by SOCAR, was implemented regularly,” the report notes.

According to the report, nearly 8,7 mlrd. tones of oil, and more than 11,3 mlrd. cubic meters of gas was produced over the country in the third quarter of 2021. This means a 6% increase in oil production and a 38,6% increase in gas production in comparison to the relevant period of the previous year.
