Ambassador lends clarity to suspension of flights to Nakhchivan by Turkish Airlines

Turkey’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral has lent clarity to temporary suspension of flights to Nakhchivan by Turkish Airlines, APA reports.

E. Ozoral said the land border between Turkey and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is not closed, and the cargoes and the transports facilities are freely moving across the border.

However, the ambassador said, due to impossibility of controlling passengers in the air transport due to the coronavirus threat, the flights to Nakhchivan have been temporarily suspended for now: “It is still not possible to say something regarding the future of the coronavirus threat in advance. Therefore we can’t tell in advance the date of resumption of the flights”.
