Molokans want to return to their lands liberated from occupation-PHOTO

Molokans who became IDPs from the former Agdara region as a result of Armenian occupation appealed for returning their native villages, said Executive representative of Hasangaya village of Tartar region Ilgar Gasimov, APA reports.

According to him, even a group of representatives visited the Tartar region and viewed ruins of their liberated village from the occupation: “During the period of Tsarist Russia about 100 families relocated to the Goyarkh village of the region, were subjected to ethnic cleansing during the First Karabakh war by Armenian army. Some part of Molokans forcibly migrated to the Russian Federation, while some part lived IDP life in the various territories of the country. Currently, they stated that by means of the community they want to restore their native villages. “

Village executive representative noted that after 44 days of Patriotic War majority of Molokans appealed to him.

I. Gasimov stated that several Molokan families settled in Baku, were received by Head of Tartar District Executive Power Mustagim Mammadov: “After that, a condition was created for Molokans to view the ruins of their liberated from the occupation village. They witnessed vandalism committed by Armenians. Cemetery of Molokans was razed to the ground, houses were destroyed.”
