Azerbaijan’s tourism sector is expected to revive starting from June of this year, Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation told APA-Economics.
It was voiced at the next meeting of the AEC Commission “on Tourism and Services”.
It was noted that the resumption of communication relations of several countries already gives a basis for the revival of the tourism sector in 2021.
It has been also noted in the meeting that the tourism sector in Azerbaijan has increased by 10% in 2019, while 4 times decrease has been observed in 2020 over this sector.
Information on the damage of the pandemic to the tourism sector, measures implemented by the commission have been voiced in the event. The upcoming issues related to the preparations for the summit of the World Ecotourism Organization in October-November 2021 have been discussed.
