The rule on giving the Azerbaijani National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) the power of issuing a license to TV and radio broadcasters has come into force as President Ilham Aliyev signed the decree in this regard.
According to the decree, broadcasts that require license (TV and radio broadcasting activities, republic television broadcasting, television broadcasting in Baku, the regional television broadcasting, republic radio broadcasting, radio broadcasting in Bakuregional radio broadcasting, additional information broadcasting, cable broadcasting with up to 5,000 subscribers, cable broadcasting with more than 5,000 subscribers, satellite broadcasting, broadcasting with decoded devices by foreign TV and radio channels ) will be carried out by the NTRC.
