Khatai metro station put into exploitation after capital overhaul

Khatai station of Baku Metro has been put into operation after the capital overhaul, the head of press service of Baku Metro Bakhtiyar Mammadov said, APA reports.

Note that Khatai station was closed for capital overhaul works on September 27, 2018. During repairs, three old escalators of the LT-2 type commissioned in 1968 dismantled. Instead of old escalators, four new escalators of Viktoriya Tube type have been installed by German company ThyssenKrupp Fahrtreppe. As the station has one entrance-exit, installed four new escalators will allow to regulate the movement of passenger easily and to increase security.
